Stephan SCHWENDIMANN, Zurich, Switzerland Set: Design and construction Sabina HEXSPOOR –Baden, Switzerland, Kostüm cCostume designer and stylist for film, theatre and advertising. Before she began studying fashion design in Zurich, Switzerland in 2004, she obtained a diploma as a couture dressmaker and trained as a theatre dressmaker (MODECO, Zurich, Switzerland). From 2001-2004 she worked as a costume assistant at various theatres in German- and French-speaking Switzerland, at the Zurich Opera House and in independent theatre companies. In 2003 she designed  her first costume design for “Die Katze auf dem heissen Blechdach”, directed by Tom Schneider at the Basel Theatre, Switzerland. During her studies in fashion design, she worked for the TPC of Swiss Television as a costume assistant for the “Heidi Musical”; worked backstage at the Hallenstadion Zurich, one of the biggest Eventhalls in Switzerland for stars such as Rihanna, Anna Netrebko, and the Mamma Mia Musical and also for George Michael. After her studies, she spent some time in the fashion circus, working as a designer and cutting technician for the fashion label “Damn Romance” in addition to looking after small fashion labels. She also worked as a stylist for various advertising campaigns and on commercial shoots for Swisscom, Swisstelfone Company, Postfinance, IWC Schaffhausen, High tech watch company, Switzerland, etc. and designed various costume designs for the independent theatre scene. Under the direction of Isabel Dorn, she realised several costume and stage designs for the Stadttheater Göttingen, Germany. First steps in film: dresser for “Der Fürsorger” by Lutz Konerman, later for the crime series “Der Bestatter”. This was followed by her own costume designs for various short films such as “Buumes” or “Alekto” and most recently the feature film “Usgrächnet Gähwilers” by Martin Guggisberg. Further productions for the variety theatre “Salon Morpheus”, for various plays, but also for a modern ballet by Andrea Boll, Bollwerk “Bones”, premièred at the Fabrik Theater Rote Fabrik Zürich, Switzerland. All aspects of fashion, whether historical or modern, the colorful universe of fabrics, patterns and colures as well as the magnificent costumes from all over the world and the exciting stories behind them are her great passion.
