NO MERCY (Egypt) – AAF

Type: Dance
Created by: Nasa4Nasa
Duration: 40 minutes

Nasa4Nasa will lure you in, disarm you, and in the process unravel in their own drama.

NO MERCY navigates our daily virtual and non-virtual modes of feeling, cliches, and vanity. During this fifty minute DJ set, Egyptian contemporary dance duo nasa4nasa pushes the limits of sensuality, desire, and its interplay with violence. The two female bodies navigate the gaze, referencing their repertoires of body image, pop, and rage.

How to Disappear Completely is an augmented audio narrative; a new artform conceived at the intersection of literature and gaming. Imagine listening to an audiobook about the city where you live; only, the events of the novel unfold episodically as you walk through the sites where the action takes place.

This immersive storytelling device uses geo-location and a corresponding smartphone application to transform the urban space into a real-life open-world computer game. As they walk through the streets guided by the twists and turns of the plot, players discover the city in a new light.
