The Most Secret Memory of Men

Following the words to the track, renowned Burkinabe theatre makers Aristide Tarnagda and Odile Sankara sign a theatrical reading of Mohamed Mbougar Sarr’s novel, The Most Secret Memory of Men

Described by critics as “ultra ambitious” and “erudite,” the story follows a young Senegalese writer who comes to Paris seeking the truth behind another writer’s mysterious disappearance, eighty years prior. Spanning a century and three continents — from Senegal to France, via Argentina —  Sarr’s deeply human novel explores the traditional face-off between Africa and the West with complexity, energy, and biting humour.
