Sofiane Ouissi
Tunis-born choreographer, dancer, and curator. The artist is a graduate of the Tunis Conservatory of Music and Dance and the National Dance Centre in Tunis, and holds a State Dance Diploma from France. Sofiane counts among the core figures of contemporary dance in the Arab world.
His recent works include the dance performance Le Moindre Geste (2017) and the film Wejdan. In 2007, he co-founded L’Art Rue alongside his sister Selma Ouissi, a cultural organization dedicated to producing and disseminating contemporary artistic proposals in the Tunisian public space.
