Collective Dream:
Collective Dream is an audio-visual performance based on a dream-like exploration and search for the inner self, experienced and shared within a collective. The primary objective of the work is to create a semi-abstract collective imagery that leads the audience into an experience of contemplation. Here, contemplation is meant not only as individual reflection but also as a moment of collective connection, where each viewer can find a fragment of themselves.
The video content draws inspiration from dreams, representing an introspective journey towards understanding and connecting with oneself, yet seen as a universal and collective experience. The audio is designed to narrate the sense of disconnection and intermittent attention we have towards our inner world. Through the use of modulated and rhythmic sounds, the piece seeks to evoke the fluctuations of emotional and mental experiences, suggesting a continuous oscillation between moments of clarity and confusion. Collective Dream presents visuals of magma and clouds, liquids and microorganism, forests and floral elements to explore the force and fluidity of thoughts and emotions as well as symbols of ever-evolving life and hidden worlds. Silhouettes of human figures emerge and blend into the landscape, representing the profound existing connection between people and their environments. This combination of sounds and images transport the audience into a dream-like dimension, where the individual and the collective intertwine in a sensory and meditative experience.
الفيديو مستلهم من الأحلام، صور من رواسب الأرض والسحب، السوائل والبكتيريا، الغابات ومكونات الأزهار، ويستكشف قوة وسيولة الأفكار والمشاعر، كونها ترمز للحياة دائمة التطور ويقترب من العوالم الخفية التي نجهلها.
ظلال بشرية تظهر وتمتزج في الساحات لتمثل الاتصال الوجودي بين البشر وبيئاتهم.
يحكي الصوت إحساس الانفصال والانتباه المتقطع الذي ينتابنا نحو عوالمنا الداخلية، من خلال استخدام الإيقاعات الصوتية.
هذا العمل الفني يحفز التجارب الشعورية والذهنية ويقدم لنا حالة متقلبة ما بين لحظات الوضوح والحيرة.
مزيج من الأصوات والصور ينقل الجمهور إلى بعد جديد يشبه الحلم، حيث الفرد والجماعة يتضافران في تجربة حسية تأملية.
Concrete Casing:
The outskirts of Rome are dotted with intentions and ideas that were never brought to fruition. Illegal construction, rigged contracts, and neglect have resulted in the proliferation of abandoned construction sites, destined to remain an indelible testimony to such errors. These dilapidated exoskeletons are memories like fossils from past epochs. The unfinished structures, left incomplete, tell stories of unfulfilled promises and shattered dreams. Instead of being vibrant and prosperous, the peripheral neighbourhoods host these carcasses of concrete and steel that degrade the urban environment and scar the landscape.
Each abandoned building carries with it a narrative of corruption and inefficiency, a story of betrayed hopes and wasted resources. The rusted scaffolding and incomplete walls are silent monuments to mismanagement, a perpetual warning of the consequences of greed and negligence. These urban skeletons, though immobile and silent, scream a reality too often ignored. They are the tangible proof of a system in dire need of profound reforms and a new vision, one that can transform intentions into accomplished actions and restore dignity and beauty to Rome’s outskirts.
في ضواحي روما نجد الكثير من الأفكار والنوايا المعمارية التي لم تتحول لواقع ملموس، إذ نجد منشأت غير قانونية وعقود مزورة وإهمال أدى إلى زيادة المواقع المهجورة التي أصبحت دليلًا لن تمحوه الذاكرة لمثل هذه الخطايا. هياكل المتهدمة أصبحت ذكريات مثل الحفريات من الأزمان السحيقة. مباني غير مكتملة تحكي قصص لوعود غير مكتملة وأحلام مبعثرة. فبدلًا من أن تكون مزدهرة ومنتعشة، أصبحت أحياء الهامش تستضيف هذا الجثمان الخرساني والمعدني الذي يقتل جماليات البيئة الحضرية والمساحات الخضراء.
كل مبنى مٌهمَل يحمل قصصـًا عن الفساد وانعدام الكفاءة.. قصة خيانة الآمال .. قصة الموارد المهدرة. أصبحت السقالات الصدئة والجدران غير المكتملة كالآثار الصامتة في وجه سوء الإدارة. كأنها جرس إنذار يخبرنا بما فعله الطمع والإهمال.
هذه المباني برهان مادي على حاجة هذا النظام الماسة للإصلاح الجذري، وتكوين رؤية جديدة تُحول النوايا إلى واقع تستعاد معه الكرامة والجمال الذي تستحقه ضواحي روما.
