Mohamed Sami

Mohammed Sami graduated from the Institute of Arabic Music and is known for playing a fusion of Arabic and Classical Music. He has learned about oriental Egyptian music with his mentor and Maestro Abdo Dagher. Recently, he has been implying new modern techniques in his projects, where he tries to dissect Egyptian music by exploring the violin’s rhythmic and harmonic direct value. He has played in many international prestigious festivals and has worked with international artists and bands such as Fathy Salama, Frederick Gill, Michael Olivera, Moricio Lazaro, Bjorn Meyer, Lena Chamamyan, Raul Olivar, Reem Kelani, Asita Hamidi, Nieves Diaz, among other musicians. Sami Established the band El Dor El Awal band and is known for participating in a variety of Egyptian projects such as forming Baladi Band in 2012, a joint project with El Mastaba Center for Egyptian Folk Music, Black Theama, Bashir Band, Ali Khattab Group, and recently BARZAKH. He composed for many projects and his own solo album called “From Far Away” in 2012 played in Switzerland and Egypt.
