Salma Ataya


Salma Ataya is a dancer, performer, and choreographer from Ramallah, Palestine. Her dance journey began with dabke before discovering contemporary dance through workshops at local dance festivals. During 2012–2016, she performed with Les Ballets C de la B and KVS before moving to Ireland, where she graduated with an MA in contemporary dance performance from University of Limerick in 2017. Since then, she has worked with numerous companies, including John Scott’s Irish Modern Dance Theatre, Catherine Young Dance, Séverine Chavrier, Théâtre d’Orléans Paris, Justine Doswell, Mary Nunan, CoisCeim dance theatre, Rob Heaslip, Laura Murphy, Junk Ensemble, and Pan Pan Theatre.
