Gaza, O’ My Joy

“Hend Jouda gives voice to a vibrant cry of desire and resistance. She anchors her pain and her dreams in a surge of life and freedom that transforms lament into a promise of salvation. In an age of mass killings broadcast live, this voice reminds us of the power of dreams and desire, and of the irrepressible creative impulse that dares to envision a future when the present is crumbling. ” (Cultures Plurielles, Geneva)
