In this artist talk, Nermine El Ansari will share her artistic practice in depth, and the methods she used while working on the sound installation Natural Scenes. Nermine started working on it in 2012, which was strongly tied to her surroundings.
Since then, she has moved abroad, and the Cairo she knew then has changed dramatically. Nermine will discuss what it means to conjure memories and imagery through her artistic practice, and talk about her relationship to the city through the perspective of her sculptures.
