Nermine El Ansari

Nermine El Ansari is an Egyptian visual artist living between Reykjavik, Cairo, and Marseille. She works with various media, including installation, video, drawing, and performance. Her practice explores social geography and the tension between natural and urban environments. Her projects include narratives on collective memory triggered by personal and random representations, connecting acts of remembering with questions of social reality. She was a board member of The Living Art Museum in Reykjavik during 2020–2023. Her work has been featured internationally, most recently at Skaftfell Art Center in Iceland and the Mucem auditorium in Marseille.
