Erik Altorfer

Erik Altorfer started his professional artistic work as an assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Zürich in Switzerland. He has been working as a director and dramaturg for theatres and radios since 1997. He has organised festivals commissioning and showcasing new plays in Switzerland, Austria, Egypt and Argentina and held writing workshops in Bahrain, Belarus, Bolivia and Egypt. Altorfer has directed, commissioned and adapted numerous radio plays by renowned writers for German and Swiss radio stations. He was artistic director of the Swiss playwrights’ program Dramenprozessor which received the Swiss Theatre Award in 2015. He curated the audio drama/blog production Sounds like a Whisper at Theatre is a Must in Alexandria in 2019 and 2021, with a dozen of Egyptian and Syrian artists. In 2020, several of his productions were invited to the Mawgat International Audio Drama Festival in Cairo. 

In 2021, Altorfer conducted an audio play workshop with NBO Musical Theatre Initiative and held a masterclass on directing audio plays at the Kampala International Theatre Festival (KITF). In 2022 and 2023, he worked with artists in Nairobi and Kampala, coaching them in the productions of their first audio plays which were presented at KITF Kampala and KITFEST Nairobi. Erik is currently working on a three year project with Hewar Theatre / Theatre is a Must festival and is teaching at the Zürich University of Teacher Education.

بدأ إيريك ألتورفير مسيرته الفنية الاحترافية مساعد مخرج في مسرح “شاوشبيلي هاوس زيورخ” بسويسرا. وكان عمله مخرجـًا ودراماتوج في المسارح والإذاعات منذ عام ١٩٩٧. وقد نظم مهرجانات لتقديم وعرض مسرحيات جديدة في سويسرا والنمسا ومصر والأرجنتين. وأقام ورش كتابة في البحرين وبيلاروسيا وبوليفيا ومصر. 

وأخرج ألتروفير واقتبس عدد من المسرحيات الإذاعية لكتاب مرموقين، وقُدمت الأعمال في محطات إذاعية ألمانية وسويسرية. وكان إيريك المدير الفني لبرنامج الكتاب المسرحيين السويسريين “درامينبروتسيسور” والذي حصل على جائزة المسرح السويسري عام ٢٠١٥. 

ونسق إنتاج المدونة الدرامية الإذاعية أصوات كالهمس ضمن فعاليات “لازم مسرح” في عامي ٢٠١٩ و٢٠٢١، مع عدد من الفنانين المصريين والسوريين. 

وفي عام ٢٠٢٠، عُرض عدد من إنتاجاته الفنية في مهرجان موجات الدولي للدراما الإذاعية بالقاهرة. 

وفي عام ٢٠٢١ قدم ألتورفير ورشة مسرحية إذاعية مع مبادرة مسرح إن بي أوو، وأقام ورشة سريعة حول إخراج المسرحيات الإذاعية في مهرجان كمبالا الدولي للمسرح. 

وخلال عامي ٢٠٢٢ و٢٠٢٣ عمل مع فنانين من نيروبي وكمبالا، وأشرف على إنتاجهم أول مسرحياتهم الإذاعية. وعُرضت في مهرجان كمبالا ونيروبي الدولي للمسرح. 

ويعمل إيريك على مشروع مدته ثلاث سنوات مع شركة حوار للمسرح المستقل والفنون الأدائية ومهرجان لازم مسرح ويُدَّرّس في جامعة زيورخ لتعليم المعلمين.
