The Extra Mile – الميل الإضافي
Originally created for the 2023 World Capital of Architecture, The Extra Mile explores the concept of “too much” through voluminous draperies and deep drama, sensuously and playfully investigated and unfolded. The spirit of going the extra mile and handling life’s obstacles together is masterly executed physical virtuosity. It has been performed at The National Gallery of Denmark, the Royal Cast Collection by the scenic harbour of Copenhagen, The City Hall of Copenhagen, Danish Center for Architecture, The National Library of Denmark and Art Nordic.

What Meets The Eye
What Meets The Eye was created for the extraordinary exhibition of Giacometti’s works at The National Gallery of Denmark in the spring of 2024. Inspired by Giacometti’s tall, slender figures with raw, organic surfaces, two dancers sculpt themselves into a riveting human visual experience.
What Meets The Eye premiered at the National Gallery of Denmark in 2024 and The Extra Mile premiered at The Royal Library in 2023.
Manger Les Mots – أكل الكلام
Manger Les Mots, or Eating the Words in English, is a contemporary dance performance and collaborative creation by Mounir Saeed and Nagham Salah Othman. The performance combines monologues, songs, dance and lighting to discuss various topics related to the theme of misunderstandings. It poses the question: How can we transform the misunderstandings we face in our lives and careers into a dance? As two individuals from different cultures and perspectives strive to communicate, they face a struggle that pushes them beyond words, uncovering a shared language of movement. Through their efforts, the beauty of symbiosis and the destructive consequences of misinterpretation are explored. By highlighting personal misunderstandings as reflections of larger socio-political issues surrounding cross-cultural exchanges, the performers attempt to find harmony between their experiences and visions.
“أكل الكلام” هو عرض للرقص المعاصر وعمل إبداعي جماعي من إخراج منير سعيد ونغم صلاح عثمان. يجمع العرض بين المونولوج والأغاني والرقص والإضاءة ليناقش موضوعات عدة تتمحور حول سوء الفهم. يطرح العرض السؤال الآتي: كيف يمكننا أن نحول لحظات سوء الفهم التي نواجهها في حياتنا ومساراتنا المهنية إلى رقصة؟ فيما يسعى شخصان من ثقافتين ومنظورين مختلفين للتواصل، يواجه الإثنان صعوبات تدفعهما نحو ما هو أبعد من الكلمات، ويكتشفان لغة مشتركة تتمثل في الحركة، وتسلط جهودهما الضوء على جمال التعايش والعواقب الوخيمة لسوء الفهم. يسعى الراقصان لإيجاد تناغم بين تجاربهما ورؤاهما.
