The Book of Neptune is a spectacular puppet theatre form based on music and movements, performed with lit-up sculptures of fishes, allowing marine life to come alive on stage. Similar to a reverse shadow play, the fishes “swim in a sea.” People’s familiarity with marine life imagery allows them to imagine a dynamic and dreamy landscape. They imagine flying away and create an ocean-tale of their own.
كتاب نبتون هو شكل مبهر من أشكال مسرح العرائس يقوم على الموسيقى والحركة، وتؤدي العرض منحوتات مضاءة لأسماك، إذ تدب الحياة في الكائنات البحرية على المسرح. على عكس مسرح الظل، تسبح الأسماك “في البحر”. كما أن اعتياد الناس على صور الحياة البحرية يتيح لهم أن يتخيلوا تفاصيل عالمٍ ديناميكي وحالم، إذ يتخيلون أنهم يحلقون بعيداً ويبتكرون حكاية خاصة بهم عن المحيط.
