Hala Omran is an actress and singer who graduated in 1994 from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus. She trained in Europe with Eugenio Barba, Ariane Mnouchkine and Matthias Langhoff and collaborated with various cultural practitioners such including Pascal Rambert, David Bobee, Ali Chahrour, Omar Elerian, Sulayman Al Bassam, Yousry Nasrallah, Ossama Mohammad, Two or The Dragon. She translated numerous poems and contemporary theatre plays into French, English and Arabic, some published in France.
Omran was awarded Best Actress four times in 2021, at both the Journées Théâtrales de Carthage, and then The Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre for her performance in “IMedia” by Sulayman Al Bassam, then in 2023 for her performance in “Mute” by Sulayman Al Bassam at the Journées Théâtrales de Carthage and in 2024 for Mute also at The Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre. She was nominated for the Gilder/Coigner International Theatre Award in 2023.
حلا عمران: ممثلة ومغنية تخرّجت عام 1994 من المعهد العالي للفنون المسرحية في دمشق، ثم واصلت تدريبها المسرحي في أوروبا مع أساتذة مثل يوجينيو باربا، أريان منوشكين، ماتياس لانغوف وغيرهم. تعاونت مع عدد من المخرجين المسرحيين وصناع الأفلام والراقصين والموسيقيين، من بينهم باسكال رامبير، ديفيد بوبيه، علي شحرور، عمر إليريان، سليمان البسام، يسري نصر الله، أسامة محمد، وغيرهم.
قامت بترجمة العديد من القصائد والمسرحيات المعاصرة إلى اللغات الفرنسية والإنجليزية والعربية، وقد نُشِر بعضها في فرنسا. حازت على جائزة أفضل ممثلة أربع مرات في عام 2021 في كل من “أيام قرطاج المسرحية” و”مهرجان القاهرة الدولي للمسرح التجريبي” عن أدائها في مسرحية “إي ميديا” لسليمان البسام، كما فازت بالجائزة نفسها عام 2023 عن أدائها في مسرحية “Mute” لسليمان البسام في أيام قرطاج المسرحية، ثم مرة أخرى في عام 2024 عن نفس المسرحية في مهرجان القاهرة الدولي للمسرح التجريبي. رُشحت لجائزة المسرح الدولية “Gilder/Coigner” عام 2023.
