Nanda Mohammad is a distinguished Syrian actress and graduate of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus, Syria. Since her graduation, she has played a pivotal role in the Syrian contemporary theatre scene, working extensively with renowned directors such as Naila Al-Atrash and Omar Abu Saada. Her contributions extend beyond acting, as she has been also a dedicated theatre pedagogue in Syria and later in Egypt where she is currently based. Nanda’s talent and versatility have earned her roles with regional and international directors, including Tim Supple, Nullo Facchini, Ariane Mnouchkine, Khaled Al-Tarefi, Pascal Rambert, Ahmed El Attar, Daniel San Pedro, Laila Soliman and Henri Jules Julien among others. Her performances have graced some of the world’s most prestigious theatres and festivals, such as the Festival d’Avignon, Edinburgh International Festival, Festival d’Automne, LIFT Festival, Lincoln Center, World Theater Festival Shizuoka, Onassis Cultural Center, Zurich Theater Spektakel, Kennedy Center, Theater de Vidy, Kunstenfestivaldesarts, La Bâtie-Festival de Genève, Schaubühne, Teatro Arena del Sole, Napoli Teatro Festival, Bozar, Ozasia Festival, D-CAF, Dramaten, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Adelaide Festival, MC93 Bobigny, Singapore International Festival of Arts, Wiener Festwochen, Sharjah Biennale, Kunstfest Weimar, Seoul Bo International Festival, and many more.In addition to her acting career, Nanda has worked as a voice and acting coach since 2004, conducting workshops in Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Switzerland, Italy, and the UAE. Her training focuses on the unique relationship between voice and body, aiming to release and explore the profound, often hidden emotions that actors tend to conceal during their work. In 2020, Nanda was honoured with the French National Order of Merit for Arts and Letters, Knight Degree, in recognition of her contributions to the arts. She has also co-authored theatrical texts such as Whims of Freedom and is currently writing her first play Gathering Memories with My Eyelashes which she started during her residency at La Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.

إلى جانب عملها في مجال التمثيل، تعمل ناندا مدربة صوت وتمثيل منذ 2004، حيث تدير ورش عمل في سوريا والأردن ومصر وسويسرا وإيطاليا والإمارات العربية المتحدة. ويركز تدريبها على العلاقة الفريدة بين الصوت والجسد بهدف إطلاق واستكشاف المشاعر العميقة والمخفية في كثير من الأحيان التي يميل الممثلون إلى إخفائها أثناء عملهم. في 2020، تلقت محمد وسام الاستحقاق الوطني الفرنسي للفنون والآداب بدرجة فارس، وذلك تقديرًا لإسهاماتها في مجال الفنون. شاركت محمد أيضًا في تأليف نصوص مسرحية مثل “نزوات الحرية”، وتكتب حاليًا مسرحيتها الأولى “جمع الذكريات برموشي” التي بدأتها خلال إقامتها الفنية في “سيتيه إنترناسيونال ديز آرت” في باريس.
