“Move, Imagine, Connect” Contemporary Dance & Dabkeh Workshop

This improvisation workshop will rely on words, images, and the imagination to open up different ways of moving. It will explore types of movement that make sense to us and how we can move with that kind of clarity in busy or overwhelming situations.

Through different activities and imaginative prompts, participants will explore movement possibilities, connections with others, and their relationship to the space.

The first two days of the workshop will revolve around improvisation and will include movement material from the Everynothing performance, sharing some of the physical and choreographic ideas developed through the work.

The last portion of the workshop will be a dabkeh class.
